At SIGD - Leeds you will be studying towards a Customer Service Practitioner Level 2

We ae looking to develop an Internal Sales Specialist through our Apprenticeship programme. As part of your Apprenticeship, you will learn all about SIG, our products and services, customer base and markets. As well as developing foundation customer service and sales skills on which to build your career in sales.

As your knowledge and experience grow, you will develop and maintain new sales which will be beneficial and profitable to your branch. You will pro-actively target new customers in a role that will see you collaborating closely with the warehouse team and suppliers alike. Regularly engaging with our external sales force and credit control teams, you'll also input orders onto our system and maintain our sales records.

You will gain excellent product knowledge and will be on hand to advise customers of the best suited products for their requirements.

As your career develops, you will become a product specialist within your area and will play a key role in growing SIG as a business and driving profitability through the correct pricing. Being IT literate is a must as you will process all orders online/PC. If you have a flair for customer service, good IT skills and are looking for somewhere to enhance your career, this role is ideal!

To apply, you should be qualified to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent), have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and deliver good quality customer service. Candidates would be expected to undertake a 12-month Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship follow by a 15-month Customer Service Level 3 Apprenticeship and be committed to achieving this. The role is initially fixed term for 30 months, and we would expect to offer you a permanent contract at the end of the term, dependent on the successful completion of the Apprenticeship.
