This position is the ideal opportunity for an aspiring Software Developer to join a growing team as they embark on several projects. You will work closely with the Lead Developer and wider development team. Projects will be varied but all within the context of improving online services and mobile applications for our members who test within the building compliance industry and software solutions for our staff's administrative use.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Assisting the lead developer in creating innovative and well thought out software solutions
  • Speaking to staff and members to record requirements
  • As a team, design solutions to best achieve these requirements
  • Assist in building these solutions via coding and database setups
  • Assist in the implementation of these software solutions
  • Continue to maintain and improve implemented


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Programming knowledge and/or experience required, ideally in ASP.NET and SQL development
  • Any knowledge of mobile solutions using the B4A and B4i technologies is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Personal qualities

  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute positively to team goals
  • Logical thinker who is quick to pick up new skills
  • A team player and have a strong customer focus
  • Thinking 'outside the box' will be very much welcomed


Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and maths)


Future prospects

  • The role offers the opportunity to progress into a long term contract or permanent position
