The Digital Team at Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group are looking for a forward thinking, enthusiastic , registered nurse, ideally from a GP practice to join our team. This role could be a gateway to an exciting digital clinical career pathway and will introduce you to a network of clinical digital champions such as chief nursing informatics officers (CNIOs).

You will need to enjoy supporting staff and thinking 'Digital First' with the development and deployment of various digital applications and portfolios of work.

This exciting new role will involve supporting digital transformation to support an integrated care system in Somerset, alongside other digital health and care professionals within our team. Work will include:
  • training and development of clinical staff
  • clinical application development
  • digital system optimisation
  • clinical testing of digital applications
  • 'go live' roll out of digital solutions

You will need strong communication skills and the ability to engage well with others, to challenge constructively and work independently. You will also be required to learn or have knowledge of digital apps and clinical systems.

The role has the advantage of being Monday to Friday hours with flexible working. Under current COVID-19 restrictions much of the role may be working from home but travel between sites across Somerset will also be required once restrictions ease further.

The post is a part-time, fixed term contract until 31 March 2022, with the potential to extend further if benefits and value for money are demonstrated. The role can be anywhere from 10 to 18 hours per week, dependant on whether you are currently part time and wish to do this on top of your current role or you may be full time and wish to do this alongside your current role. You will require agreement from your current line manager prior to appointment if this impacts on your current practice or Primary Care Network (PCN) role.
