The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre offers specialist clinical services, is a base for medical education, training and research, is a dynamic centre on which to build upon clinical experience and includes professional development in orthopaedic, spinal and plastic surgery.

We are recruiting for Orderlies in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre operating theatres.

If you are motivated and have some experience of working with people in a busy environment, then we are looking for you. This job involves assisting the team of registered practitioners in the care of patients in the operating theatre department. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a safe environment for the patients.

Successful candidates will be supported in practice by theatre staff to develop skills in this area of practice. We will provide a comprehensive induction programme to support your development. This includes an in house course and competencies followed by the nationally recognised Care Certificate. There are further opportunities for education which includes apprenticeship schemes which could lead to you becoming a registered practitioner.

As part of the team you will be expected to work flexibly in a challenging environment. If you are successful in obtaining a position with us as a Orderly you will be required to work as part of our shift pattern which involves weekend working and on-call duties.
