Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer the opportunity of an apprenticeship which will be hosted by the Our Dorset Workforce Delivery Team. This new and exciting role will be based in West Moors. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions you may be required to work in a flexible manner including remotely.

You will undertake an apprenticeship in Business and Administration Level 3.

The Workforce Delivery Team support health and care providers across Dorset to grow and further develop their workforce in areas such as placement expansion, workforce planning, recruitment and retention and education and development of new roles.

This role will more specifically be working with the Practice Educators in the team who work with learners and students on clinical placements and their supervisors in primary and social care services.

The role has been designed to allow you to develop and experience a broad and varied range of activities including:
  • Co-ordinating meetings for the team
  • Taking notes from meetings and setting out key actions
  • Maintaining accurate records of data received from internal and external sources
  • General administration for the team
  • Supporting with projects and events
  • Working closely with other members of the Workforce Delivery team and partners
  • Developing and adding additional information to websites

You will be a valued member of our busy and friendly team and assist in the effective and smooth running of our team, maintaining excellent working relationships through effective communication.

Apprenticeship are a fantastic pathway to start a career as well as obtain a nationally recognised qualification.

Entry Requirements
You will need to have a minimum of Mathematics GCSE grade D or above (or equivalent) and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) and will need to demonstrate an interest in Business and Administration.

You are eligible to apply for this post if you are living in England and are not taking part in full-time education, you are 16 or over and do not hold a Level 4 or higher qualification in the same area.

Dorset Healthcare NHS University Trust / The Workforce Delivery Team will provide:

A dedicated mentor to support you through your apprenticeship, providing support and advice within the workplace, as well as helping you manage the balance of work and apprenticeship studies.

You will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally and will be encouraged to attend our in-house training courses and shadow colleagues from other services. There may be further opportunities depending on your interests and strengths.

As an employee of Dorset HealthCare you will have access to our extensive e-learning platform to help support your growth and development in your new role. You will also be able to apply for vacancies at the Trust within the same staff group, allowing you the opportunity to join the Trust on a permanent basis.
