We are currently seeking a candidate to ultimately fill the role of Technical/Commercial Manager at our Cradley site. An overall insight and working knowledge of our company will commence by working in our busy sales office to understand the company'sproducts and procedures before going on to encompass other technical, stock and procurement roles required to run our thriving and successful business.

The initial work within the sales office will includeorder data entry, customer liaison, stock control, filing etc. with a working knowledge of Office 365 and all programmes such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc. essential. Full training will be given on our bespoke operating systems.

CAD (Solidworks) skills are essential as the candidate will also be required to compile a complete library of the company'sproducts in CAD files over the course of time.

The company offers generous holiday entitlement of 35 days inclusive of bank holidays and is a salaried position, paid on the 6th day of the month, with annual pay review. A company profit related bonus scheme is also in operation.

You will serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about products, orders and deliveries and provide support for our outside sales managers.

Initial responsibilities to include:
  • Process orders via email or phone
  • Check data accuracy in orders and invoices
  • Contact clients to obtain missing information or answer queries
  • Liaise with the logistics department to ensure timely deliveries
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records
  • Communicate important feedback from customers internally

  • Ability to work under your own initiative

Future roles will include:
  • Compilation of CAD file library for all companies manufactured parts
  • Understanding and creating bills of materials for all our manufacturing processes
  • Creating new bills of materials for new products
  • Understanding all aspects of procurement processes including liaising with both local and overseas suppliers
  • Further support outside sales with technical drawings as and when required

Requirements and prospects

  • You will ideally have or be completing a level 3 engineering qualification
  • CAD (Solidworks) skills are essential

Desired qualifications

  • You will ideally have, or be completing, a level 3 engineering qualification
  • You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 in both maths and English Language
  • You MUST have experience of CAD - CAD (Solidworks) skills are essential for this role
