We are recruiting to the North Locality offering both part time and full time contracts with flexible working patterns; you will have access to long days or day shifts to support your work life balance.

We are seeking innovative, caring and dedicated registered Nurses to compliment the Havering Community Health and Social Care Service team. Our community Nurses support the delivery of 24hr holistic health care to support our strategic vision of the 'Best care by the best people'

As a member of our community multi-disciplinary team, you will work within a primary care network alongside District Nurses, Specialist Nurses, community matrons, therapists and Health Care Assistant's to support the provision of high quality evidence based care that meets the health care needs of our local community. We also work in collaboration with Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups. GP's and Acute sector providers in order to facilitate care pathways that support early discharge and prevent hospital admission.

You will be travelling around our borough to deliver community based care to patients in their own homes, therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes is essential.

Geographically, Havering has the best of both worlds, we have easily accessible road and rail transport connections; we are just a 22 minute commute to central London and have both over ground and underground links (Zone 6), we are also fortunate to that more than half the borough is parkland (23 square miles) and the vast open countryside of Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire are all within easy access.

Havering has great shopping facilities; Romford has a large market and we are nearby Lakeside, Westfield Stratford and Bluewater shopping centres. There are also many outdoor and indoor social activities on offer. Many of our staff have fedback that they choose to live and work in Havering because it's got affordable housing and good schools.

Havering has a lower population density than other London Boroughs and, at 4.5%, a below average unemployment rate for Greater London, and one of the lowest London crime rates

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Assessment/Interview info
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction.

High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £3,784 and a maximum payment of £4,822).
