An excellent opportunity has arisen for a HR Administrative Apprentice on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

Responsible to the HR Services Officer, the HR Apprentice will be providing administrative assistance to the Human Resources Directorate, this will include the payroll and recruitment functions of the HR Services team. They will be one of the first point of contacts by telephone and face to face and for staff enquiring about HR department matters, referring them to other members of the team where appropriate. Some responsibilities will include: maintaining accurate filing systems; inputting data to the relevant HR systems and databases; organise meetings; prepare stationery orders; open, date stamp and distribute post for the HR department as well as many more. You will have to undertake delegated tasks and uphold the promotion of Equality and Diversity at all times.

You must be enthusiastic, motivated and be able to work well under pressure. Within the role, you will always be part of a team so you must be adaptable, flexible and demonstrate effective learning when working within this team.

As an apprentice, you'll have the valuable opportunity to acquire a range of skills and experience throughout the year long scheme. Guided by your mentor and one of our recognised learning providers, you'll be given clear learning objectives for your role. In addition, you'll be enrolled on an apprenticeship program that will enable you to develop significant skills over the year: not just in your placement, but in areas that will help you perform effectively in the workplace overall.

As part of your apprenticeship you will be required to undertake the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration. The Apprenticeship includes: Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration, Functional Skills in Mathematics, English and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at Level 1, Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (these are embedded throughout the apprenticeship).

Entry Requirements: Applicants must have achieved (or be predicted to achieve at least) GCSE Grade C (Or equivalent), in English Language and Math's or an equivalent qualification such as key/functional skills. You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office program's which includes Word, Excel and Outlook.
