We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse (F Grade) to join our Stem Cell Transplantation Unit based at our award-winning Cancer Centre (London, W1G) with an inclusive salary range on offer of£40,909 - £50,468 per annum. Job Description

To assist the Manager in ensuring the department is efficiently and effectively managed at all times, and to be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services.

Job Type:Permanent and Full Time

Shifts:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (Days, Nights, Weekends)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • To participate in bleep holder scheme.
  • To take responsibility for individualised patient care, using the Roper Logan & Tierney model of care and documentation for the department.
  • To promote the partnership between nursing staff, patients and their care.
  • To attend and participate in department meetings.

Skills & Experience
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Haematology / Chemotherapy administration / Cancer foundation course
  • To have a minimum of 4 years post registration experience with a minimum of 2 years' experience on an Oncology/Haematology Unit preferred
  • To have at least 6 months experience in Stem Cell Transplantation preferred with Stem cell return & Blood transfusion competencies
