An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to join the Dosimetry Team in the Radiotherapy Department at The James Cook University Hospital. This specialist role will include preparing dosimetric data for patients undergoing radiotherapy, advising medical staff and other healthcare professionals, participating in research trials and ensuring the provision of a high quality radiotherapy service. If you would like to be part of a dedicated, caring team in a technically advanced department where SABR, VMAT and DIBH are widely integrated into clinical use then please get in touch. Your clinical knowledge of relevant equipment and current registration must be complemented by confident communication and excellent interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work independently.

Treatment plans are produced using Monaco, Tomotherapy HiArt and Oncentra Masterplan. Raysearch Raystation is currently in the commissioning stages. The department has five Elekta Synergy linacs with Agility MLC (three of these equipped with FFF technology) and one superficial/deep X-ray set. Mosaiq is currently used for electronic data transfer throughout the radiotherapy department. Pre-treatment imaging consists of Siemens and Toshiba wide bore CT scanners with associated ProSoma virtual simulation software.
