We look after the finances that impact on every part of Morrisons, supporting future plans and decision-making. You can play a key role in working in the heart of your community with our Finance Apprenticeship.
In finance, we play an important role in helping the business deliver our priorities and build a broader, stronger business - supporting our stores, sites and across our online and wholesale channels. If you’re passionate about finance and relish new challenges, we offer a variety of opportunities and you’ll need a flair for both analysing and presenting data.
What you’ll be doing?
You’ll support our business teams and develop your skills in different areas of finance. Working with a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager, you’ll learn how to prepare balance sheet reconciliations and generate accruals, prepayments and adjustments. You’ll also assist with financial reporting and help to improve our processes and procedures, while earning a starting salary of £20,000.
It all adds up to a great way to launch your career in finance with a team that will nurture you, support you and help you realise your potential. Our modernised way of working in Hilmore House includes a 4 day working week, plus an additional saturday every 4 weeks. You’ll spend time in Hilmore House working alongside your team as well as spending time working or studying from home.
What you’ll study towards
We’re confident you’ll find working at Morrisons rewarding, our team spirit is hard to beat! We celebrate individuals and their achievements, it’s all about getting stuck in, learning tons, and bringing what makes you special to make us better (No wonder we were awarded Best School Leaver/Apprenticeship Strategy at this year’s ISE Awards!).
You’ll study towards a professional accounting taxation technician apprenticeship (Level 4 CIMA qualification) at Kaplan in Leeds, with the opportunity to move onto our Level 7 apprenticeship after completion.
What you’ll need to join us
We’re looking for great communication and listening skills, along with a positive attitude, resilience and a drive to succeed. You’ll also need recently achieved or predicted three B's at A level and GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English Level 4.
