Logistics Degree Apprenticeship
We keep millions of products moving all the way from our suppliers to our stores, as we get our products from farm to fork as quickly as possible. You can play a key role in working in the heart of your community with our Manufacturing Degree Apprenticeship.
Now you don’t have to choose between starting your career or studying towards a degree. At Morrisons, we are giving hard-working school and college leavers the chance to have the best of both worlds.
Our Logistics Degree Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with the University of Bradford, allows you to work towards a degree while building a career with one of the best logistics teams around. Not only do we pay all your course fees for you, but you also get to work and earn a £20,000 starting salary while you’re studying.
What you’ll be doing
Our logistics teams are responsible for ensuring the right products are always in the right place at the right time. You’ll be working as part of one of these teams, learning how to drive efficiencies and helping to provide our customers with the freshest of products from day one.
There will be opportunities for you to make an impact on exciting business projects while working across various teams, learning about our systems, processes and technologies, and building a deep understanding of how our business works. This should help you gain the skills and experience you need to advance to Team Manager before too long and progress to Shift Manager by the end of the programme.
Achieve a valuable degree and the start of a great career
We’re confident you’ll find working at Morrisons rewarding, our team spirit is hard to beat! We celebrate individuals and their achievements, it’s all about getting stuck in, learning tons, and bringing what makes you special to make us better (No wonder we were awarded Best School Leaver/Apprenticeship Strategy at this year’s ISE Awards!).
While you’re working with us, you’ll also be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Management and Business at the University of Bradford. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging. But we’ll offer you at least half a day leave a week to concentrate on your university studies. And, in return for your hard work and determination, you’ll gain full chartered membership of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute). What’s more, you’ll have the experience you need to step into a shift manager role at the end of the programme.
What you’ll need to join us
We’re looking for resilience, determination and good leadership skills, along with the flexibility to meet the changing needs of our business. You’ll also need a minimum of 104 UCAS points (based on the new UCAS tariff or 260 based on the old tariffs) and Grade C (4) or more in Maths and English GCSEs.
