Cambridgeshire County Council, through their Section 75 Agreement, provides mental health social work embedded in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. Our Mental Health Team have exciting opportunities for Social Workers across the Cambridgeshire area.

We are currently recruiting Social Workers to join us, primarily working with a caseload of working age adults. There are Social Workers/AMHPs working across the multidisciplinary team which includes CPNs, Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Support Workers to promote the best outcomes for service users and carers.

Knowledge and experience of working with service users and their carers who experience mental health care and support needs would be key to this role, as would working with other agencies that provide voluntary services in the Cambridgeshire area. CPFT is the health trust providing assessment and treatment for mental health care and support needs. Social Workers are expected to have an excellent working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (and DOLS). Social Workers are expected to apply the Social Perspective to their work and keep social care issues current in their practice to help promote independence and recovery for service users.

We have Social Workers who are also Practice Educators, and we encourage Social Workers to take part in the training of new Social Workers through our links with Anglia Ruskin University for the Social work Degree, the MA in Social Work and also ASYE. Cambridgeshire County Council and CPFT offer training opportunities so that everyone can keep their knowledge and Social Work England registration up to date and improve their knowledge and skills generally and progress in their career.

If you have a flexible positive attitude, are passionate about promoting service users' independence and rights, and the role of the Social Worker, then this is the ideal role for you.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the role, please contact Hannah Williams on [email protected] or call our hotline: 01223 699263

**This is a rolling campaign, and we will regularly review applications, so please don't wait for the closing date to apply. Candidates will be progressed shortly after they apply, and the opportunity will be filled as soon as we identify a suitable candidate, which may be before the closing date. So please don't hesitate, we want to speak to you now!**

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Cambridgeshire and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve.
