Grade: Band 2

Salary: £18,546 - £19,918

Location: Radiology BRI and SLH

Hours: 37.5 (full and part time hours considered - permanent and fixed term)

Bradford Teaching Hospital Trust is looking for compassionate, caring, motivated individuals to work in the Radiology Department. The successful applicants will work with our friendly team of Radiographers, Nurses, Radiologists and other support staff in our busy and dynamic department.

Brief description of the role:

The post holder will be part of a team that performs a wide range of imaging examinations across a range of modalities. As a Radiographic Assistant the applicant will care for, support and chaperone patients throughout their appointment journey.

To assist in regular weekend sessions in Ultrasound, CT and MRI

Be responsible for helping to clean and decontaminate equipment in line with infection control and health and safety policies.

Maintain and take part in departmental stock control and rotation

Summary of Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:

NVQ/QCF Diploma or Apprenticeship at Level 2 or equivalent in Care is useful as is previous experience of working as a carer in a care home, community care or hospital setting.

Good verbal and written command of English, Maths and I.T. skills are a requirement

Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.

In house training will be provided.

The salary and Terms & Conditions of service for this post(s) is/are subject to change in line with "Agenda for Change" - the new NHS Pay & Rewards system.
