althaus are supporting INDIGO IT in looking for two confident, and reliable apprentices to join their team as IT Solutions Technicians to assist with the day-to-day running of the business. If you are looking to build up your experience and begin a career in IT, this is an excellent opportunity for you. The ideal candidate will be passionate about IT and eager to develop themselves.

Wage £14,000.00 per year with full level 3 training provided

Working week: Monday to Friday (9 am-5:30 pm) Total hours per week: 37.5

Expected duration

18 months (inclusive of End-Point Assessment)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate for the role will be a talented and highly motivated individual with some experience in IT. You should be able to demonstrate basic IT literacy and a keen interest in a career in technology and applications.

Your responsibilities in this role will consist of the following:

  • Hardware and Software support for our 160 business customers
  • Assisting with installations and configurations of desktops/laptops
  • Escalating issues when required to senior technicians
  • User account and account management queries
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve faults
  • Respond to IT tickets via our systems
  • Dealing with hardware/ software issues
  • Speaking with customers on the phone to understand the problem
  • Remotely control and fix basic IT Issues users are struggling with

  • Experience in hardware troubleshooting would be advantageous
  • Experience in customer service would be advantageous

Desired qualifications

· 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent, including English and Maths

Future Prospects

There are attractive career progression opportunities available upon completion of this program. You may have the option to progress on to a Level 4 apprenticeship and take your training even further. As a Microsoft Partner, we also have several additional courses including Cloud courses we offer to our Team to continue their development.
