Through our selected Apprenticeship training provider QA you'll receive the very best training available anywhere in the UK, with structured training and mentoring both from the training provider and through our own team.

The successful candidate will enrol onto QA's Project Management Degree Apprenticeship which runs for 48 months.

The role and responsibilities:
  • Set up standard project processes and documentation to required Boohoo standard
  • Ownership and management of projects within Supply Chain from initiation though to project closure
  • Effective project management and planning with proven experience of PRINCE2 and APMG qualified
  • Setting up, organising and overall management of the project plan, internal resources, off-shore teams, suppliers and other third parties
  • Creation and management of the RAID log including mitigation actions
  • Project reporting - creation and presentation of weekly/monthly status reports including risks and issues, actuals vs forecast against plan (timeline and project financials) to all level of stakeholders
  • Effective and timely decision making, with ability to confidently propose solutions to mitigate risks or issues
  • Liaison with executive level management in tech and the wider business as required
  • Works in a thorough and detailed manner on all aspects of the job role
  • Responds to identified systems and organisational needs in a proactive manner
  • Communicates, influences and updates key stakeholders to ensure the success of projects
  • Maintains a high level of commercial awareness to ensure all projects are continually aligned to the changing business needs
  • Leads by example and develops awareness and skills relating to project management within the immediate and wider team

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Previous experience within Project Management desirable
  • We can of course help you to develop your skills, but you'll need to bring enthusiasm and character to the table.

Personal qualities

  • Experience of Automation, Engineering, Construction type projects from inception to operational hand-over.
  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management, with the ability to manage multiple large, medium and small scale cross-functional projects
  • Experience of working in Retail / Supply Chain is preferred but not essential
  • Practical experience using AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project.
  • A background of delivering projects or programmes of work including business change and tech solutions
  • Experience of Prince2 methodologies with the ability to apply the correct methodology dependent upon project or work-stream
  • A proven track record of delivering successful, large, medium and small projects (time and cost)
  • Working knowledge of business processes, system development and process improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management to all levels with ability to influence key stakeholders andchallenge constructively
  • Organised, self-starter who is able to respond to change positively whilst applying appropriate governance with a 'Can Do' attitude to solving problems

Desired qualifications

  • 120 UCAS Tariff points
    From a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A level or BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas

Future prospects

  • 92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks
