One of our partnering Secondary Schools are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team, to help with students' attainment and work retention. This is the perfect opportunity to gain valuable secondary experience before going on to complete a Teacher Training programme.
- Full-time and part-time flexible opportunities available ASAP.
- Opportunity to gain experience in a Secondary school in the Bolton area.
- Supporting the learning of pupils across all subject areas
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Aid students in both small groups and on a 1:1 basis when withdrawn from the classroom for extra support
- Earn up to GBP300 per week, depending on experience
- Previous or transferrable experience working within education desirable
The successful candidate will be required to work with identified pupils who require additional learning support, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. There will be a possibility of supporting students with learning difficulties and pupils who display challenging behaviour. The role will also include supporting the class teacher during lessons and, where necessary, covering lessons in the absence of the Teacher.
Our client school is based in Bolton and is easily accessible via the A58 and M61 from surrounding areas such as Bury and Salford. For candidates who do not drive there are public transportation links that the school can be accessed by from the surrounding areas such as Worsley, Bury and Farnworth.
To be considered for this role, potential candidates must hold experience working within an educational setting with children and young people or hold skills transferrable to working in a Secondary school.
