What will the apprentice be doing?
As an apprentice SME Broker, you will provide a quality service to clients covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements. You will deal with any telephone queries for new or existing business, provide suitable advice, exercising own judgement as to when to refer customers to a colleague. You will take instructions relating to the provision of insurance from clients and Account Executives when appropriate.
You will prospect and manage your own customers and be responsible for a financial objective
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The training will be in association with the local insurance insitute and a combination of on the job and off the job. They will work on the job and one day a week online tutorials with the Bolton CII institute. They will gain formal insurance qualifications and maybe be required to go off site one day a week in Bolton.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Lots of scope to progress to a wider role in sales and marketing and underwriting.
