THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

Swansea University Health Board is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to further develop the skills to become a Business Administration apprentice within the Speech and Language Therapy Team.

This is a 12 month developmental post which is supported with qualification in Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration offered through a local college provider. This is a full time post however there is protected study leave once the course begins. The academic work will be supported by a local college provider.

The qualification will be supported by a combination of external training courses, shadowing senior staff and internal training courses. This will develop the successful candidate to be able to undertake the role effectively.

The individual should also have the enthusiasm and drive to complete the qualification whilst working full time within the department.

Candidates should be self motivated, willing to learn and have a positive, can-do attitude and approach to be part of a team that delivers a high quality service to all.

You will receive training and ongoing support to enable you to use the systems and processes required to undertake the role and complete your apprenticeship. In addition, you will gain a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

All applicants must:

•be aged 16+
•be resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years
•not be in any form of formal government-funded education qualifications
•have a good general standard of GCSE education or equivalent

•not hold a Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration, a similar subject, or at an equivalent level
•not have a Degree

•be flexible within normal working hours (37.5 hours per week)

This post is for a fixed term of 12 months.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
