Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice

We are the largest provider of acute hospital services in Surrey, serving a population of more than 410,000 people in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Woking and parts of Elmbridge, Hounslow, Surrey Heath and beyond.

The Trust provides a whole range of services across its two main hospital sites in Surrey - Ashford Hospital, and St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey and supported by specialist clinics in the community.

Do you have a GCSE in English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent?

Would you like to gain a NVQ and BTec level 2 qualifications in Pharmacy Services while working?

Would you like to work in hospital?

If the answer to these questions is yes then we are looking for you.

We require a part time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team of support staff in the Pharmacy at St Peter's Hospital.

Duties are varied and will include visiting wards and departments to review and order stock, undertaking reception duties and basic dispensing

You will need to have good communication skills, be hard working and keen to learn.

Full training will be provided.

Course entry criteria (Apprenticeship funding rules apply):
    • Applicants should hold at least 2 GCSE's (or proven equivalent) at grade A*- C to include Mathematics and English Language.
    • Learners must live and work in England and have been a resident in the EU for a minimum of 3 years
    • Learners must be aged 16 years old or above
    • Learners cannot hold a Level 3 qualification or above, unless the qualification is "materially different" from the Apprenticeship in Pharmacy framework. Any qualifications relating to level 3 and above in pharmacy, nursing or biomedical sciences will have to be assessed in depth for funding eligibility

Where to find us:

Our main sites are Ashford Hospital, TW15 3AA near to Heathrow Airport and St Peter's Hospital, KT16 0RQ which is close to junction 11, M25. We also operate services at Woking Bradley Unit and Milford Hospital. A free shuttle bus service operates between Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals.
