Band 7 Clinical Practice Educator Gynaecology

The Practice Development Nurse role provides an opportunity to influence the strategic direction of education and training within the gynaecology department. You will support students, apprentices and newly qualified staff to develop their clinical ability, as well as building and updating expertise across the department.

Gynaecology and reproductive medicine it is base across St Mary's Hospital and Hammersmith and Queen's Charlotte Hospital. This role gives the opportunity to maintain clinical practice as well as make use of dedicated educational development time. Working alongside the Matrons you will help direct the professional development of specialist practitioners.

  • You will be able to draw on previous experience and roles to demonstrate your passion for clinical education
  • You will have specialist clinical skills, knowledge and experience appropriate to this clinical field and be prepared to develop new skills in specialisms with which you are less familiar.
  • You will be an outstanding role model with evidence of continuous professional development and a clear vision for how you will use educational resources to deliver outstanding patient outcomes and experience within the climate of an NHS Trust
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of managing and developing others
