Software Development Technician - Level 3 Apprenticeship
Our client is recruiting on behalf of a family-run web development company offering a full range of web solutions and services to support any size of business, big or small.
As they grow their small but mighty team, they are now looking for a Software Development Technician to join them and undertake a Level 3 software development apprenticeship.
As a Software Development Technician, you'll have the chance to learn a range of new skills and web development practices as part of your apprenticeship which will provide a qualification equivalent to two A-Levels.
This exciting role will see you involved in a wide range of projects, learning on the job and developing a portfolio of experience that will support your future career. You'll build and maintain all aspects of websites, both front and backend, working alongside the Marketing Team to develop for small and medium-sized companies.
What's more, you'll have the chance to gain deeply technical skills through the use of PHP and WordPress whilst developing an in-depth understanding of functional website use and front-end development.
To be considered as a Software Development Technician, you will need:
- A strong interest in IT
- Logical and creative thinking skills
- Problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and to take responsibility
- Plenty of initiative
A GCSE in IT or Computing is desirable, but not essential.
Please note, you will need to be able to commute to the office daily.
- Salary of GBP9,000 - GBP12,000 depending on previous experience for the first year
- A pay review will take place at 6 months depending on business growth and experience gained with the hope of increasing the salary to GBP17,000 - GBP25,000 for the 2nd year
This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with an interest in IT to take their first steps in a rewarding career journey in the most advanced industry in the world.
Joining a friendly, family-run company, you'll have the chance to learn from experienced and skilled staff and gain valuable experience that will form the basis of your career.
An apprenticeship is a fantastic way to develop hands-on experience outside of a classroom setting. Whilst others look to gain paper qualifications, you will be learning the practice skills that will set you apart, as well as earning a wage that will put you ahead of the field.
Please note, applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and our client reserves the right to close the role early should a sufficient number be received. As such, they would encourage early applications to avoid disappointment.
