Our client school wish to appoint a graduate teaching assistant to support within their school on a flexible basis for the remainder of the academic year. As a graduate teaching assistant you will have the opportunity to gain all the necessary skills required to prepare you for a teacher training course including; supporting the individual pupils aged 11-16 on a 1:1 within lessons, covering full classes in the absence of teachers and helping prepare students for summer examinations.
- Full and part time positions available
- Covering pre-set lessons in the absence of teachers
- Support in a range of classes in different subject areas
- Provide additional tuition to GCSE pupils preparing for examinations
- Provide general support to classroom teachers
To be considered for this position it is essential that you hold previous experience working with secondary schools, are a confident and approachable individual and are able to build strong rapport with pupils. You will ideally hold a degree and be looking to pursue a career within secondary education as a teacher.
