Opportunity to gain experience covering lessons prior to completing your teacher training.

Our client schools located within the Wigan area wish to expand their support teams by appointing a number of graduates to work as cover supervisors within their schools.

What is a cover supervisor?

As a cover supervisor you will be required to cover lessons in the absence of teachers, whereby the school will have pre-set work prepared for you. As a cover supervisor you will be expected to ensure that pupils complete all set work and behave in a positive manner. You will cover a range of subjects including; Maths, English, Science, Physical Education, Humanities and MFL.

*** As a cover supervisor you are not expected to plan or mark work but simply deliver the provided sessions ***

  • Full and part time work available within a number of out client schools which fall under the Wigan LEA
  • Ideal opportunity for those looking to gain further experience prior to teacher training
  • Attractive pay - Up to GBP75 per day
  • Ideally applicants will have their own transport - Desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
