An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Ward Sister or Senior Staff Nurse with outstanding leadership skills to become the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse of Ward 2 in the new Lakeside Wing Hospital.

This post is at the forefront of ensuring that patient quality and safety is maintained and that patients get the best care outcomes. Candidates need to demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and their clinical and line management experience. Motivation and a passion for nursing and patient care is essential.

Ward 2 is located in the newly constructed Lakeside Wing Hospital on the grounds of the University Hospital of Wales. The Ward is co-located with Ward 1 and the successful applicant will work closely with the Ward Sister of Ward 1.

Ward 2 cares for medical patients who continue to undergo medical treatment but with a strong focus on patient centred rehabilitation, the ward offers a rich multi-disciplinary environment with significant opportunities to develop and improve the model of care on the ward.

The position is open to Registered Nurses with relevant experiences currently working within Cardiff and Vale UHB.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
