There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, as you work as part of a multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park, a 130 bedded independent hospital which supports service users that require medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services. In addition, there is also a PICU Mental Health Service.

As a Lead Forensic Social Worker, you will have experience of working within an inpatient hospital setting as you will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to manage and support a complex caseload with mental health conditions.

You will lead and promote safeguarding within the hospital where your key focus will be to develop and maintain relationships with statutory external stakeholders.

As a senior member of the team, you will have strong leadership qualities to encourage and support a positive culture where teamwork and cooperation is embedded in the working environment.

Your Responsibilities :
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment
  • A sound knowledge of legislative frameworks
  • Proactive and creative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to undertake audits

  • Provide strong and robust leadership in the social work team.
  • Promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients
  • Liaison with statutory external stakeholders
  • Ensure teams KPI's are met on a monthly basis
