Full time position 40 hours

Royal Free Hospital Hampstead Heath

1 x Permanent Contract

We are pleased to invite applications for Senior Clinical Fellow Posts within the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department. These posts would suit a motivated SPR4 with more than 2years experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics; hoping to embark on a permanent career in the same field or to gain more surgical experience. The department has a strong commitment to high standards of patient care and an established reputation in postgraduate training.

There is an active ethos of training and education for development of our medical staff with regular multi-disciplinary practical training sessions and a regular programme of audit and governance meetings. As well as teaching during the morning trauma meetings there are dedicated weekly teaching sessions.

There are plenty of opportunities for junior medical staff to build their CV's with contributions to local service and quality improvements, for example through the supervised development or update of unit guidelines or through development of patient information leaflets.

The post-holder will fill a slot within an existing 1:10 junior medical rota.

The post holder will join a busy department with staff including 10 Consultants, Specialist Trainees, Clinical fellows, GP trainees, Foundation Year 2 doctors and various research & academic staff.
