We are delighted to offer you the unique opportunity to be part of a new CAMHS Home Treatment Team to support children and young people across Manchester, Salford and Trafford. This is an exciting opportunity to be fully involved in developing and creating the highest quality service provision for young people - and those who care for them - from the start and we need you to help us achieve this!

We are looking for qualified practitioners who are passionate, dynamic, and skilled professionals and we would support staff who are ready for a new challenge to significantly improve children's experiences and outcomes.

Ideally applicants would have experience working in health or social care with complex family issues and be able to demonstrate our Trust values. We can offer a bespoke introduction and training in Children's and Young Peoples Mental Health Services that will enhance your knowledge and skills in risk assessments of young people.

About the Role

This is a diverse and challenging role that requires the development of specialist skills to deliver recovery focused interventions to Children and young people. Our focus is to support children young people - and those who care for them - to remain in their own home and aid their recovery during the crisis episode.

You will be a qualified Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker and will have worked in a multi-disciplinary team. You will need to have significant post qualification experience in mental health and preferably within crisis services.

The post requires practitioners to be confident assessors who can make clear decisions about risk management, care planning and the appropriateness of home treatment team interventions. Effective gatekeeping assessment and the identification and delivery of the best treatment packages for people presenting to services in crisis will also be key.

You will provide brief clinical risk and mental health assessment, formulation and short-term contingency planning for children and young people presenting in mental health crisis.

Working within the community, you will deliver a range of brief solution focused interventions. You will work collaboratively with our CAMHS and other Mental Health Services across the system as well as Acute Hospitals, Ambulance Service, the Police, Education and Social Care to provide risk and mental health assessment, formulation and contingency planning for children and young people presenting in Crisis.

About the Team

This is a new team and service being created that will see you working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team, who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to children, young people and families. As part of your professional development, you will receive specialist training in the interventions that support people when in crisis.

The rota for this role includes working weekends and weekdays between the hours of 8am and 10pm and therefore includes unsocial hours payments in addition to basic pay.

The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85(enhanced disclosure) If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
