The Dorset Post Covid Syndrome Assessment Service

Would you like to be part of a brand new service created to support people with ongoing symptoms of Covid 19?

Dorset Health Care has been commissioned to develop a Multi-Disciplinary service working with staff from all NHS Trusts in Dorset. This is a brilliant example of collaborative working across the Dorset system bringing a wealth of experience from all different disciplines.

The Service provides assessment and onward referral ensuring that the patient gets the right ongoing care meeting their needs with follow up and support throughout their journey.

We are learning more about Post Covid Syndrome each day and the service will be part of regional and national research programs to further our understand of this new and developing condition.

We are looking for Band 4 Assessors and Case Managers to undertake telephone and video assessments with patients referred into the service and then case manager their journey providing support as required. Although the post is in the main home/virtual working, it would be best to be based in Dorset in case the need arises to meet face to face or attend relevant meetings/activities.

The posts will be for a fixed term of 6 months with the likely extension to12 months. This is because we assume that Covid infections will drop off considerably over the next year but will of course stay under review.

Full support and training will be provided as necessary

Full and part time hours will be considered

If you would like to be part of this new and exciting service please do get in touch.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
