Salary - £22,549 to £24,882 pa plus RRP £3276.96 pa (recruitment and retention) pro-rata if part time

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a full time Maintenance Craftsmen (Electrical) to join an enthusiastic and established Estates team, who deal with a diverse range of tasks and challenges to allow our hospital to operate safely at all times, and ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and staff.

The key responsibilities of the post will include a range of repairs and core craft electrical and general engineering duties to include maintenance, repair, minor improvement and capital works across the Trust. You will maintain engineering services and equipment at the Trust whilst at all times observing all relevant Health and Safety guidelines and Regulations.

We are looking for someone who has served an apprenticeship or undertaken other suitable training in an electrical discipline and holds an appropriate qualification, who has significant post-qualification experience. You will need to have gained experience in the installation and repair of a wide range of engineering plant, systems and equipment, and have good knowledge of health and safety legislation. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and highly motivated, with the ability to work on their own initiative without supervision in a multi-disciplined environment.

The successful candidate must be prepared to participate in an 'on-call' rota.
