Lancashire County Council have a successful ongoing partnership with Reed Education to provide Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Lancashire and Cumbria. As a result, Reed Education are seeking a Full Time Cover Supervisor with a PE Specialism. The role would be 5 days per week, Monday-Friday Term Time Only starting as soon as possible. The role should appeal to candidates who may have an interest in teaching in the future and looking to gain paid school-based experience before commencing their PGCE. If you are a qualified PE teacher or an ECT, please still apply as the role is open to any interested.
The role would be supporting the PE Department on a day-to-day basis and supporting the pupils in the delivery of the PE curriculum.
The successful applicant must:
• Be an excellent communicator and have a nurturing approach to students
• Be reliable, committed and interested in working with students and demonstrate the qualities of a good role model (qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness and good listening skills)
• Have good interpersonal skills; be trustworthy, punctual as well as being patient and confident when working with children.
