Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Apprenticeship) - Band 6 position with CAMHS Crisis and Enhanced Treatment Team

We have an exciting new opportunity at BDCT to help us deliver our plans to transform our Crisis and Enhanced Treatment Team within Children and Adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) within Bradford District.

The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) role will work within the Crisis and Enhanced Treatment Team supporting Children and Young people when in a mental health crisis. The ACP will be required to attend the ACP MSc course provided by University of Bradford with a start date of January 2022.

Your main duties in this role:

As our new ACP you will use your specialist knowledge and skills to provide mental health clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment to Children and Young People within their sphere of practice.

You will practice at an advanced level, demonstrating in depth knowledge and competence in Children and Young People's Mental Health; encompassing enhanced assessment, critical thinking, intervention planning and delivery and clinical management skills that are evidence based. You will deliver high-quality person-centered care which reflect our Trust values.

Apprenticeship Salary

Year 1: Band 6 progressing to Band 7 in year 2 of the ACP course. Upon successful achievement of the qualification and satisfactory progression in the workplace the post holder will be able to apply for a Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner available within the organisation when a role is advertised.

Note: Applicants must hold Maths and English (level 2) at the point of application and be able to provide certificated evidence. Completion of the apprenticeship the individual will be able to apply for Advanced Clinical Practitioner vacancies available within the organisation at time.

The shortlisting and interviews will be conducted jointly by CAMHS and the University of Bradford. The successful applicant will also be required to separately apply to the university to register as a student.
