Shropshire Telford & Wrekin AHP Faculty established in February 2021 and has already produced some fantastic pieces of work including the inaugural STW AHP Conference in November, ICS wide rotational band 5 roles and clinical placement expansion across the professions. Following investment from Health Education England we are looking to recruit a Programme Manager for the Faculty to help us continue the great work.

Having come from an AHP background in some capacity, you will put your established experiences to great use in this pivotal role enabling you to help build a shared purpose and commitment to support AHP workforce transformation and build a strong, sustainable AHP community across the region/ICS/Faculty.

You will come from an established career and be used to working with key stakeholders to fulfil this post. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring ongoing success and sustainability of the faculty
  • Support effective workforce planning - linking with Trust AHP Leads
  • Maximise access routes into pre-registration level 6 AHP apprenticeship training to support workforce growth and widening participation to meet local employer and ICS needs
  • Support the National AHP Support Workforce Programme to achieve deliverables

*** Important information regarding DBS checks *** If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, you are required to pay the fee for the DBS check which is £50.00 for an Enhanced check and £30.00 for a Standard check

Staff who are new to the NHS will normally start on the bottom increment of the payscale advertised. From 1st April 2019 new starters to the NHS or those promoted to a new role will be subject to pay progression arrangements as contained in Annex 23 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions.

BANK: If you are applying for a bank position, please ensure you are able to meet the minimum shift requirements:

  • Clinical Bank Workers - To ensure professional practice and competence is up to date a minimum of 6 assignments must be undertaken in each period of 3 months and you must attend any training you are notified of. It is your responsibility to provide evidence that your professional practice is up to date.
  • Non-clinical Bank Workers - A minimum of 1 assignment must be undertaken in a 6 month period and you must attend any training you are notified of.
