The Portfolio Group are working with a well-established organisation based in Central Manchester, looking to take on an entry-level Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is a fundamental role where the relevant candidate will fit into a well-established team. The role will be best suited to someone who has a finance relatable degree and ideally some form of work experience or industry exposure, or someone who is currently studying towards a finance qualification.

Role & Responsibilities

Daily Purchase Ledger inbox checking and distribution of invoices
Accurately matching, batching, and coding invoices
Expense administration and approval
Statement reconciliation and query resolution
Scanning invoice documents and filing
Running weekly reports for missing documents on Dimensions and attaching as necessary
Booking accommodation and travel for field staff
Ad hoc duties as and when requiredSkills & Attributes

Finance relatable degree is preferable
Purchase Ledger experience is desirable
Embrace and contribute to a strong team working spirit
Have enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Be hard working and focussed
Strong communication skills and ability to establish and maintain good relationships;
Genuine enthusiasm for providing a high standard of customer service and an ability to promote a positive attitude within a Finance team
