What will the apprentice be doing?
Purchase Ledger -Managing incoming purchase invoices and ensuring into our accounting system.
Expenses -Finance contact for expenses.
Bank Reconciliation -Ensure payments in our accounting system are reconciled.
Payment Runs -Managing our payments process.
Credit Cards -Ensure timely and accurate posting of credit card transactions.
Payroll Processing - ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Month End - Responsibility for parts of our month end process including.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
We will support our apprentice through AAT qualifications at all stages.
We would then look to work with the apprentice to identify what the next stages of their career look like, and like to support them through further accountancy qualifications.
Training would be at college in the centre of Manchester with our training partner, and also be based on one day per week.
As well as in college training we look to support with study / exam assistant in the work place.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified we would like to evaluate the direction our apprentice wants their career to go, and formulate a plan to achieve this.
This would involve understanding how the role could change, as well as supporting through future qualifications.
