Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed in October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.

We are pleased to announce a new Apprentice Administration Assistant based Gloucester

Hours: Fixed term contract over 19 months, 37.5 hours

Salary: Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust Apprentice Terms and Conditions £10,132 per annum, £5.18 per hour

Department/Area: Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation, Learning and Development Team, Invista, Ermin Street, Brockworth, Gloucester

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust working within the Apprenticeship and Widening Access, and Practice Education Team providing a range of administrative support functions essential to the provision of quality training programmes.

The successful applicant will receive Induction and training appropriate to the activities he or she will undertake, and following this induction period will be enrolled to the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.

The role is extremely varied and requires the ability to deal with a wide range of duties. The successful candidate will join an experienced team who provide the administration for and delivery of training with the Trust. The role will be predominantly be supporting the Apprenticeship and Widening Access team and the Practice Education Team.

The role requires good customer service skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar, good keyboard skills and a polite telephone manner. Applicants should also evidence the ability to be calm under pressure and a willingness to undertake and learn new tasks. A range of communication skills, verbal and written, are essential for this role as are very good organisational skills.

Successful candidates are expected to self-fund either an enhanced or standard or basic DBS check, and sign up to the DBS update service if required for the role.
