Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed in October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.

**1 x Fixed Term contract/secondment opportunity for up to 9 months**

The Apprenticeship and Widening Access Team is a small, friendly team which organises and co-ordinates a range of training and work experience programmes for staff working within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work within the team, and to further develop their knowledge and experience.

Working with a variety of external training providers you will help co-ordinate a range of learning including apprenticeship programmes and distance learning qualifications for Trust staff. You will also assist with the recruitment of new apprentices, help develop and support our established apprenticeship programmes and scope new apprenticeship training opportunities. The team are also responsible for the provision of work experience opportunities across the Trust, including attending a variety of careers events.

The successful applicant will need to have previous knowledge and experience of apprenticeship provision and of facilitating training. You will also have excellent communication skills and evidence of teaching ability. The ability to travel to different locations across Gloucestershire is essential. You will need to be able to work flexibly and cope with a busy workload, but in return the role offers plenty of variety and development opportunities.

Successful candidates are expected to self-fund either an enhanced or standard or basic DBS check, and sign up to the DBS update service if required for the role.

For positions Band 8a and above there is a requirement to participate in an on-call rota to ensure a high quality of care for patients at all times and continued support to all staff with access to the right knowledge and expertise.
