The Durham Tees Valley Research Alliance (DTVRA) is a shared R&D service for County Durham and Darlington NHS FT, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS FT and South Tees Hospitals NHS FT.

The post holder will be responsible for setting up research studies so they are ready to open to recruitment, ensuring this is achieved efficiently in order to meet clinical timescales and both national and local targets. This work will help increase research opportunities for patients and staff. It will be important to have good communication to local research colleagues, external sponsors and other stakeholders and strong organisation skills.

There will also be other related duties in terms of presenting reports and updates to formal meetings, advising local researchers on study development and managing the flow of studies and assigning actions accordingly.

The post holder will be tasked with achieving set deadlines but would have flexibility to manage their own time in coordinating their different responsibilities alongside responding to ad hoc requests. Therefore the role would suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is able to use IT systems and can communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
While the post is formally hosted by South Tees Hospitals NHS FT the post holder will support all 3 Trusts in the DTVRA and could be based at any of these locations (this would be discussed with the applicant if successful at interview).
