What will the apprentice be doing?

You will provide legal support whilst working under supervision. Typical activities include:
  • Managing data/records
  • Reviewing documents
  • Drafting and producing legal documents and standard forms
  • Assisting with the inception, progress and completion of client files
  • Carrying out research
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Understanding and utilising basic financial information
  • Communicating (written and verbal) with internal and external clients

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This apprenticeship is available at either our Birmingham or Nottingham offices, and is s a six year level 7 programme. You will work four days a weeks and spend one day per week studying towards the LLB in Legal Practice and Skills with the University of Law. Study is by blended learning and all of your tuition/assessment fees will be paid.

By the end of the apprenticeship you will have gained a law degree and taken assessments to qualify as a solicitor.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

By the end of your apprenticeship, subject to satisfactory character and suitability, you will be a qualified solicitor. During this time you will be invited to apply for associate solicitor roles at Browne Jacobson in your preferred practice area.
