The role overview:

At Vertu, we have a full end-to-end in-house marketing department to give you a strong foundation for your career in digital marketing. This apprenticeship will provide you with industry experience from one of the biggest companies in the North East alongside an Advanced Level 3 qualification in Digital Marketing. 

Throughout this apprenticeship you will specialise in digital marketing, from Performance marketing including PPC and SEO to Website Performance and optimisation. 

Main Duties:

In this apprenticeship you will exposed to many areas of Marketing this will include (but won’t be limited to):

  • Digital advertising
    • PPC
    • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
    • Display advertising
  • Digital Product and Web management
  • Website performance
  • Campaign support & tracking
  • Third party advertising
  • Competitor analysis
  • Digital brand management
  • Social media management 

Desired skills and Personal qualities:

We are looking for a bright, self-motivated candidate with a positive attitude.

The following skills would be beneficial:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Analytical skills
  • Knowledge of common social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSE’s

  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

Additionally, we would look to offer between £5 - £5.50 an hour.

Working week:

Monday – Friday – 37.5hrs a week.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
