You’re not afraid to ask questions. Neither are we. That’s how we made the UK’s first holographic call. And why we’re able to help people to fight cancer while they sleep. As a global tech leader, we connect millions of people and make all kinds of things possible. You can build a better future with us. Our Field Technician Apprenticeship Programme is a great place to start from.
You’re curious, creative and determined. You love nothing more than new technology and what it can do. We’re offering a 15 to 18-month Level 3 apprenticeship that will give you everything you need to launch a great future.

On the programme

You’ll learn all the fundamentals of Field Delivery. How to build, test and integrate end-to-end customer solutions to support customer order delivery. Not to mention how to build, test and maintain Vodafone’s core and mobile radio access networks, working with both our people and external partners. In short, you’ll work with – and learn from – a wide variety of talented people. The role will also get involved in repair activity, which involves troubleshooting and replacing equipment at customer premises, within the core network and our mobile Radio Access network.

You’ll need to be the kind of person who’s always motivated. Someone who loves fixing anything and everything. Communication skills and effective Time Management are a must. So is the ability to get on with people from all walks of life. There’ll be tight deadlines sometimes, so flexibility and focus are key. Most important of all there’ll be lots of time on the road and working at heights, so you’ll need to be comfortable with all that.

What you’ll need

•    To be 18 years or over as of 1st Sept 2021
•    A full clean driving license
•    A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English at GCSE or A Level, or an equivalent level qualification such as a Level 2 apprenticeship, by Sept 2021

•    To have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years or more
•    To NOT have a qualification already at degree level or higher in the same subject
•    To NOT already have studied a similar apprenticeship

You must also demonstrate the ability and aptitude to climb and work safely at heights by passing a climbing assessment.. This role also requires someone who has a flexible attitude to working hours, as the Field Delivery team needs to provide Field resources 24/7, 365 days a year. As such there may be a requirement to work on shift or standby rota’s.

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.

In return, benefits package that includes generous holiday allowance and discounts on your shopping as well as Vodafone products.

A rewarding future is in your grasp.
