Fixed Term 18 Months with the opportunity to apply for a substantive role upon successful completion of the Level 3 qualification and demonstrable achievement of pre-determined role objectives.

SALARY

£15,244 PER ANNUM FOR 6 MONTHS

£16,333 PER ANNUM FOR 12 MONTHS

Shortlisting for this post will commence once the advert closes with first interviews scheduled towards the end October 2021. The Trust will enrol the person offered the post onto the Level 3 Business Administration course commencing January 2022.

Most attractive aspect of the Post:

An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice join the Overseas Visitor team. The successful applicant will be required to complete a Level 3 Business Administration qualification which will be fully funded by the Trust. Help and support will be given as well as adequate time for study in the workplace, however successful completion of the Level 3 qualification is an expected requirement.

Brief Description of the Role:

The jobholder will work as part of the Overseas Visitor Team providing administration support to the team as well as ensuring that contact with patients and Trust staff are dealt with professionally and promptly in line with set service standards. The post will involve the use of the Trust's electronic patient record; liaising with other internal teams as well as external agencies and GP practices, amongst others.

Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:

The successful candidate will need to possess good communication, time management and organisational skills and must be able to work under pressure and work to tight timescales

The candidates must be able to use their own initiative and prioritise their workload ensuring deadlines are met as specified. Previous administrative and telephone skills as well as working with the public are desirable. Previous experience with relevant IT systems such as MS Office applications and a good working knowledge of the NHS would be advantageous.
