MARYPORT HEALTH SERVICES Paramedic Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Practice to develop the role of Paramedic Practitioner. You will be expected to undertake a variety of roles including acute access to services, including minor ailments and injuries, as well as develop services to support older people and integrate with other providers of care.

Knowledge and experience of Primary and Community Care would be advantageous, but is not essential, and training will be provided.

Part time hours will be considered as well as full time, but currently we work Monday- Friday.

Candidates must be conscientious, IT literate and comfortable working autonomously.

Working closely with the 2 other paramedics and the whole clinical team you will be the central point for our home visiting team but also able to take on other areas of interest such as palliative care.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the English language fluency requirements as outlined in the in Immigration Act 2016

The role is a busy but rewarding role in a very community focused practice; you'll have lots of opportunity for innovation and creativity in this stimulating environment.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for candidates with experience of and success in communicating with and managing people.

You should also have experience of working in teams and have the ability to promote teamwork and improve employee satisfaction.

You should have a high level of negotiating and conflict management skills as well as planning skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

About us.

We have a strong Nursing team, Community Practitioner team and Medicines management team (including a pharmacist) as well as 9 Doctors.

There is a strong emphasis on training with Nursing students, Medical Students, GP Trainees, and apprentices all working in the practice.

We use E Consult as our digital access system for patients to contact us as well as Patient Access, EMIS Web, Iplato and Accurx.
