About the apprenticeship

Duties

To ensure the effective delivery and oversight of the Elderbridge operation in line with Elderbridge policies and the Elderbridge Oversight Plan.

This will entail:
The execution of the Elderbridge Oversight Plan ensuring effective management of all Elderbridge portfolios and suggesting improvements if applicable.
Running and assessing the Monthly Service Review packs and other monthly performance reports to ensure the portfolios are performing effectively. Highlight issues and suggest escalation routes.
Performing account reviews, measuring performance and assessing servicing quality.
Running and maintaining adhoc reports and oversight tables.
Presenting results in the Elderbridge Management Committee as required.
Helping define and shape strategies.
Contributing towards the effective on-boarding of new Elderbridge propositions.
Contributing towards the successful delivery of regulatory and customer centric change controls.
Any other tasks required by the Elderbridge team members.

As a small team; Elderbridge really do encompass the ‘family' ethos into the day to day running of the department. We are extremely supportive of each other and like to make sure we ‘roll up our sleeves' to deliver on anything that comes our way.

We have weekly team meetings and multiple check ins through the week. You will have the opportunity to get involved in any key initiatives we have and have a wide exposure to many development opportunities.

You'll receive regular feedback on your contribution to our customer journey in 121's and thanked for a job well done through our ‘My Recognition' portal. This is our way of celebrating success stories.

Skills

You're someone who is an affective communicator with good attention to detail. You must be a team player and have a good sense of humour. You must enjoy running and analysing reports - and be able to interpret them effectively. You will be enthusiastic for the customer and want to find ways to improve the service they receive.

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply you:

  • will be at least 16 years of age at the time of making your application
  • will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
  • will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.

ALS eligibility

Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject

What are the benefits?  

How much will I be paid?

You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500. 

You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
