As part of this interview you will be asked to make a ten minute presentation to the panel, the topic of which will be confirmed in the interview invite. You will be asked to provide a summary deck of your presentation to us prior to the interview date.
In the interview we will ask questions that will assess you against the following behaviours in the Civil Service Success Profiles Framework - Level 2:
Interviews will take place on 8th & 9th November 2021.

Working for NS&I
Due to the government guidance as a result of the Covid19 pandemic, the successful applicant may initially be working from home. However this situation is subject to change and if appointed you must be able to work in one of our office locations London, Durham, Lytham or Glasgow when required. In the future some travel to different office locations may be required.
Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on level transfer will maintain their current salary. Internal NS&I employees and existing Civil Servants who are successfully promoted may be awarded a salary increase of up to 10%.
Existing civil servants are welcome to apply for this position under a loan or secondment opportunity. At the end of the fixed term they can then return to their substantive position or a similar role funded and sourced by their home department.
Any move to NS&I from another employer will mean you can no longer access childcare vouchers. This includes moves between government departments. Level of qualification
You can do an apprenticeship at the same level as (or lower than) a qualification you already hold. However, you would need to gain substantive new skills. Plus, you'd need to be able to justify that the content of the training is materially different from any prior qualification or previous apprenticeship you've completed.
If you already hold a higher level qualification in a related subject, you will not be eligible for this apprenticeship.

Marketing and Communications
- Support the Senior Intermediary Marketing Manager in the creation of all marketing, copy, content and communications that are targeted at the financial advice industry, i.e. senior highly qualified professionals, ensuring all messaging is pitched at the right level for this expert audience
- Regularly update the Financial Adviser Marketing & Communications Plan, assisting with the developing, implementing and evaluating of the plan
- Responsible for delivering a wide range of tactical marketing and communications initiatives for the adviser channel, in line with NS&I's strategic objectives and with a focus on digital media. This includes the full marketing mix, e.g. website; email campaigns; online and press advertising; social media; exhibiting at industry events; etc
- Co-ordinating all changes to the dedicated NS&I website for financial advisers (the Adviser Centre), working with various stakeholders across the business to ensure effective delivery. Proactively monitor and identify changes required for Adviser Centre website and provide suggestions for improvement opportunities
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to enhance engagement and advocacy through improving our proposition to advisers, including online; email; social media; and events
- Co-ordinate all logistics regarding NS&I's presence at advice industry events, through liaison with industry bodies and other external contacts. Also, represent NS&I at the events as required to ensure NS&I's profile, product offer and marketing programmes are communicated effectively (note: occasional travel and overnight stays may be required)
- Support the Senior Intermediary Marketing Manager in the evaluation of all intermediary marketing and communication campaigns
- Manage all adviser related marketing and communications assets on the approval platform (Opal).
- Regularly monitor performance of adviser 'channel', using agreed metrics and Oracle Infinity, and produce report on a quarterly/annual basis
- Co-ordinate articles on the staff intranet, and support the Intermediary Relationships team with updates / presentations at various meetings and groups
Relationship Management
- Represent NS&I within the advice industry, by being a key contact point for advice firms, professional bodies, and other advice industry organisations. This is in conjunction with the Head of Intermediary Relationships and Senior Intermediary Marketing Manager. Champion NS&I and its proposition to these important external stakeholders, proactively looking for ways in which to improve our relationships
- Support the Senior Intermediary Marketing Manager in managing the relationships with the Adviser Helpline and Back Office teams within Atos (our outsourced services provider), ensuring they are fully updated with changes affecting the adviser channel, and supply them with updated lines-to-take and training materials
- Resolve any day-to-day issues arising from established servicing enhancements for advice firms (e.g. FA Portal), escalating to Senior Intermediary Marketing Manager as necessary
Budget Management
- Responsibility for ongoing management, monitoring and reporting of adviser related budgets
- Responsible for processing purchase requisitions, invoices, goods received notes, etc. on the finance system (Agresso)
- Liaise with suppliers regarding budget and invoicing matters as required

- GCSE's grades A*-C including Maths and English (9-6) or equivalent and
- 2 A Levels A*-C must be in the following subjects Media Studies, English Language or English Literature, Digital Media, Business Studies or Economics

- Diploma in Business Studies or Business Administration must have secured merit or above
- International equivalent of GCSEs and A Levels / Diplomas
In addition to the above requirement, to apply for an apprenticeship, you must:
- Be aged 16 or older
- Not be in full-time education
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Undertake only one apprenticeship at any one time
- Spend at least 20% of your employed time 'off-the-job' learning.
