Reporting to the Business System Administrator, the successful candidate will be taking on various projects relating to data extraction, cleansing, manipulation and loading, application development, and documenting business critical procedures. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for technology. Reporting to the Business System Administrator, the successful candidate will be taking on various projects relating to data extraction, cleansing, manipulation and loading, application development, and documenting business critical procedures. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for technology.

The following is a brief breakdown of the roles and skills that this new apprentice will be undertaking:

SQL and Database Administration - The new apprentice will learn our SQL database structure as well as the SQL coding language and the flow of data through various technologies within the SQL management studio.

Qube PM data processing - The successful candidate would be trained on our property management software - Qube. Additionally, this task requires the extraction, cleansing and reuploading of the data used across the business, with attention to standardised practices and data consistency.

Business Information Reporting: Excel, SQL, VBA and PowerBi - This candidate will be regularly interacting with Excel and will be taught the basics of VBA & macros. Linking data through SQL and pulling data from other sources for the purposes of transformation and analysis. Data transformations will be used for further analysis and visualisation in Excel and PowerBi.

Standard Operation Procedures - This focuses on the successful candidate collecting and maintaining a portfolio of documents relating to the Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) of the PropTech department. This would include liaising with colleagues to understand the systems and processes in place and creating a repository of documents that accurately details the user's end-to-end process, trouble shooting and recovery.

Personal Project - Development of an in-house ticketing system -The successful candidate will be given responsibility for the development and deployment of a ticketing system for the PropTech department and the wider business. This project is for logging and tracking requests that come in and giving the user confirmation request was received. This will give the candidate an opportunity to develop skills relating to project requirement collection, project management and real-world software and technology development.

  • Knowledge of the MSOffice suite
  • Basic awareness of SQL, relational databases, PowerBi and VBA is a plus
  • Basic understanding of coding concepts and logic

Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs at a 4/Cor above including English and maths

There will be a possibility of gaining permanent employment after completing the apprenticeship programme.
