AHP Workforce Lead Opportunities- 8a Secondment

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Allied Health Professional (AHP) to lead a piece of work over the next 6months exploring AHP workforce development. Funding from Health Education England will support a secondment until the end of March 2022 working within the organisation, newly forming ICS and regional team to work towards achieving 7 high level objectives.

The themes of which cover:
  • Finance
  • Workforce data and intelligence
  • Retention and support for students, newly qualified and early career workforce
  • AHP return to practice
  • AHP international recruitment
  • Apprenticeships
  • AHP support workforce

There are two opportunities available one focused on LPT workforce and one on the Integrated Care System. We welcome applications from both within LPT and across the wider system and part time hours are also welcomed. There will be regular virtual support from the national, regional and system teams to drive learning, problem solving and help build the AHP strategic workforce plan and advance activities. HEE will also provide templates to support the development of the AHP strategic workforce plan.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual to influence the wider AHP agenda and ensure AHP workforce priorities form part of the wider LLR workforce People Plan.

We are committed to providing the best care that we can to our patients. Some roles involve a Maths and English assessment. Where this is so, details will be shared with you in the recruitment process.

Details of our benefits, leadership behaviours and other important information about applying and working for us are contained in the documents linked to our advert.

It is a statutory requirement for roles that involve work in care homes that staff are up to date with their Covid vaccination status to be able to work in that environment, unless the person has a valid medical exemption. Where a role requires this, they will need to demonstrate that they meet this requirement during the recruitment process.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.

We will consider requests to work alternative hours or vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

To make the most of your application, we may consider appointable applicants for similar vacancies in different locations where this is appropriate and meets our mutual requirements.

For all substantive roles the appointment of new staff (excluding medical staff) is subject to a 6 month probationary period (see Probation Policy).

We aim to develop a workforce that reflects our community. We actively implement equal opportunities in employment and service delivery and seek people who share our commitment. We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from underrepresented groups.

All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.
