What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day management of the gym, as well as long term business planning and development. You will organise events such as seminars and classes, and will be expected to take control over the management of the gym's studio and all of its classes. You will also be responsible for ensuring health and safety protocols currently in place at the gym are being adhered to.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As a degree apprentice, you will attend the University of Hertfordshire's Hatfield campus one day per week, over a period of four years, studying on the Chartered Manager (Degree) apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the programme and end point assessment, you will be awarded a BSc (Hons) Sport Business Management (Work Based).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Successful learners can also apply for Professional Chartered Manager Status (CMI) and Professional Chartered Sport Manager Status (CIMSPA) (subject to endorsement).

Essential: 104 UCAS points is essential, gained from either A-levels, Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016), or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
