Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 25,000 staff.

Manchester Royal Infirmary have a dedicated Stroke Ward running as a district stroke centre. We work very closely with the hyper acute centres across greater Manchester to ensure patients receiving safe, effective, and evidence based care to ensure maximum recovery following a stroke.

We work together as a large multidisciplinary team, all striving with a shared vision to help our patients recover with maximum independence.

The team have embraced the MFT's "Wha t Matters to Me," work and use it to ensure we find out what is most important to our patients, get to know them well and support them to be involved in all decisions about their care.

Suitable applicants will have excellent communications skills and be able to provide kindness and compassion to patients in their care. You would be required to actively engage with the patients that require enhanced supervision through therapeutic patient activities.

You would be a valued member of the multidisciplinary team and be expected to deliver high standards of person centred care showing empathy, patience and understanding at all times.

Applicants who are offered an apprenticeship will be paid at £17,051.04 per annum and will progress to Band 2 £18,005 - £19,337 per annum upon successful completion. If you are already qualified you will commence at the bottom of Band 2.

We may decide to close this vacancy earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction in the first 3 months following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85(enhanced disclosure) If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
