Employability Support Assistant

37.5 hours per week

Fixed term for 18 months

Salary Range 3 £17,617 pro rata per annum fixed salary point

Care Plus Group is a Social Enterprise established since 2011 to deliver community health and care services following the national separation of provider services from the commissioning arm of the local NHS. Care Plus Group Employability Service have two strands of delivery, Employability and Supported Employment. Both strands support the worklessness agenda of North East Lincolnshire, delivering a holistic approach to supporting unemployed people on a pathway to sustainable employment. They deliver various employability initiatives including voluntary work based learning, pre apprenticeships, apprenticeships and intermediate labour market opportunities. They aim to empower local people to become socially included within their communities, whilst also breaking down barriers to employment.

Due to the success of the NEL Employability Service, we now aim to replicate the service in the North Lincolnshire area.

You need to have at least one year's experience and knowledge of work based education and training, OR equivalent experience of working with a range of people who have barriers to employment.

In addition to the above, the following are also essential requirements for the role:
  • Level 2 qualification in Information and Guidance (or equivalent).
  • Ability to deal with Participants who require a special amount of support and understanding.
  • Ability to demonstrate specialist knowledge and understanding in the delivery of employment initiatives.
  • A wish to be part of and contribute to this innovative and successful team.
  • In depth knowledge of worklessness.
  • Experience of working in partnership with and across other organisations.
  • A willingness to undertake further skills and knowledge training.
  • The ability to transport self and others within the area of North Lincolnshire in a timely manner.

With effect from the 11th November 2021 new government regulations enforce that all staff working within or entering a care home setting will have to demonstrate that they have received two doses of a Covid vaccine unless they have a medical exemption.

Therefore there will be a requirement that all applicants working in or entering these settings will be required to provide evidence of their Covid vaccination status/confirmation they will be having the vaccine.

It is also anticipated that this expectation will become mandated for all NHS staff.
